Rescue is a strategic card game featuring 60 one-of-a-kind dogs and a whole lot of shenanigans. Compete with other players to rescue dogs, organize them into packs, and help them find forever homes. Rack up bonus points by appointing pack leaders who unlock powerful combos in your rescue. But be careful — not all dogs are meant to be besties, and a bad pairing might cost you.

Meet New Dogs

Throughout the game you’ll meet 60 unique dogs you can add to your hand. Every dog has a different combination of personalities, sizes, and abilities. Add dogs to your rescue by grouping them in packs that will bring the most harmony to your Rescue. You can build up to 4 packs in your rescue.

Pick a Leader

Each pack needs a good pack leader. The dog you place at the top of each pack is that pack’s leader and will determine how you build out your rescue. Pay close attention to each pack leader’s scoring condition — it’ll help you decide which dogs might be a good fit for your rescue and which dogs are ready for adoption.

Mix & Match

Build your packs strategically, grouping dogs that vibe well with your pack leaders to maximize your points. Any dog in the deck can be a pack leader, but not every dog should be a pack leader in your rescue. You might want to assign new pack leaders throughout the game as your strategy changes and rearrange your packs accordingly.

Trigger Combos

Each dog has a special trick or ability that grants you bonus actions, extra space in your rescue, allows you to copy another dog’s trick, etc. Some are triggered immediately when you add the dog to your rescue. Others can be activated repeatedly throughout the game.

Get Them Adopted!

Three Adoption Event cards will be revealed during the course of the game. Adopting your dogs out is a great way to rack up extra points. When the third Adoption Event card is revealed, the game ends — so make sure you get all your ducks (dogs?) in a row before that final card!

The Rescue base game is designed for 2-4 players, ages 14+. 60 unique dogs, endless replayability. Looking to add more? We’ve developed 3 expansions to give you even more variability.

The Foster Family expansion allows players to assign foster families to certain packs in their rescue for extra points. Each Foster Family specializes in certain types of dogs (e.g. The Goof Troop gets you extra points for goofy dogs, while Tiny Teacup Town gives you a bonus per small dog). But keep an eye on your pack leaders! You may find they may play best in a home with other personalities.
